Nicole Kowalski was appointed Clerk of Courts in January of 2026. Prior to becoming Clerk, Nicole served five years as an at-large City Council member for the city of Hudson. She first won election to City Council in November of 2020, filling a partial unexpired term, and was re-elected for a full four-year term in 2021.

She received her Bachelor of Arts from Kent State University, and obtained her MBA from the University of Akron.

Before becoming Clerk, Nicole owned her own business for about eight years where she did communications, project management, and marketing for clients across a variety of sectors.

Nicole is active in the community and enjoys volunteering for various causes and organizations in her free time.
